Antenna :- Devise used to receive transmitted signals.

CATV :- Communal Antenna Television. A common acronym for a variety of distributed television signals from one central point across a wide area.

Fibre Optics :- The art of piping light signals down a very, very, thin and flexible glass tube, typically the tubes are bundled in 4, 8, 16,24 ,48, 96, 144 or 288 for CATV applications.

Free To Air :- The television and radio signals that are available free from a standard, domestic antenna, including the new digital terrestrial signals.

Hard Drive :- The permanent information storage device used in your computer

MATV :- Master Antenna Television, Only Off Air / Free To Air signals are distributed from a master reception point throughout a block of flats or similar.

MHz :- Mega Hertz, a measure of frequency. 1 Hertz = 1 Cycle a second. Therefore 1Mhz = 1,000,000 Cycles per second.

Off Air Signals :- The television and radio signals that are available free from a standard, domestic antenna, including the new digital terrestrial signals.

SMATV :- Satellite Master Antenna Television, the same as MATV but includes reception, combining and distribution of domestic satellite signals.

RAM :- Random Access Memory, the non permanent memory portion of your computer
